Research is an important part of 91滴滴 Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences. Basic and clinical research is听done to听understand听the mechanisms of vision, ocular immunology, ocular inflammation听(uveitis), genetic, retinal diseases, and glaucoma. Many of our clinical faculty听are also doing clinical trials.
For the purposes of registration, a clinical trial is any research study that prospectively assigns human participants or groups of humans to one or more health-related interventions to evaluate the effects on health outcomes. Interventions include, but are not restricted to听drugs, cells and other biological products, surgical procedures, radiological procedures, devices, behavioural treatments, process-of-care changes, preventive care,听 etc.
