From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 91µÎµÎ students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Scholarships and student aid

The Schulich School of Music offers a range of prestigious scholarships based on academic and performance achievements. In any given year, sixty Schulich Scholars hold renewable Schulich Scholarships valued at $6,000 (undergraduate) and $12,000 (graduate). Renewable Lloyd Carr-Harris String Scholarships, valued between $6,000 and $18,000, are awarded to our most promising incoming string students. Additional scholarships and financial aid are available both through the Schulich School of Music and 91µÎµÎ’s Student Aid Office.

Financial aid

91µÎµÎ offers financial aid in the form of loans (money that needs to eventually be repaid) and bursaries (money that does not need to be repaid) to eligible students who demonstrate financial need.

  • Visit the Scholarships and student aid website for details about all types of financial assistance (including Entrance Financial Aid) offered to students at 91µÎµÎ. 
  • If you are eligible for Entrance Financial Aid (awards of up to $15,000) you must apply within 30 days of accepting your offer of admission.

Schulich School of Music entrance scholarships

Undergraduate entrance scholarships are offered by the Schulich School of Music, in consultation with Area Coordinators, to outstanding applicants during the admissions process.

  • You will be automatically considered for entrance scholarships if you apply to one of our programs by the admissions deadline and meet minimum academic requirements.
  • Entrance scholarships for music students are based on entrance auditions and GPA (academic record only if you're a non-performance applicant), and they are administered by Music Admissions and the Dean’s Office.
  • Major entrance scholarships are offered to students who meet the academic and leadership requirements.  Separate applications are required for all major scholarships.
