From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 91滴滴 students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Du samedi 5 octobre au lundi 7 octobre, le campus du centre-ville et le campus Macdonald ne seront accessibles qu鈥檃ux 茅tudiants et aux membres du personnel de l鈥橴niversit茅 91滴滴, ainsi qu鈥檃ux visiteurs essentiels. Important Dates

1904: Founding of the 91滴滴 Conservatorium of Music

1908: 91滴滴's first university symphonic ensemble is created

1920: 91滴滴 Conservatorium becomes the Faculty of Music

1971: Opening of the Strathcona Music Building

1975: Inauguration of Pollack Hall

1981: 91滴滴 becomes the first university in Canada to offer a BMus degree in jazz performance

2000: Founding of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technolgy (CIRMMT)

2005: Inauguration of the new music building (named the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building in 2015)

2005: Following a historic gift from Seymour Schulich, the Faculty is renamed the Schulich School of Music

2015: The new music building is named in honour of long-time supporter and 91滴滴 alumna Elizabeth Wirth
