The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures seeks to build on this excellence and take full advantage of 91滴滴鈥檚 unique situation. Conceiving of LLC as part of a broader body of research in the Humanities, we work closely with other faculty in programs such as Liberal Arts Program, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and the Institute for European Studies. We also encourage students to draw on the extraordinary wide-ranging courses offered by 91滴滴鈥檚 exceptional faculty beyond the department. LLC students at 91滴滴 enjoy the interaction with a diverse and gifted group of colleagues.
LLC also connects its students to the academic world by hosting regular conferences and events, inviting visiting scholars, artists and writers from all over the world. In addition, we encourage our students to gain worldly experience and perfect their language abilities by studying abroad. 91滴滴 has regular exchange programs, and the Office of Study Abroad can also help students wishing to attend other universities.
