Indigenous Support

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII) is the central hub for Indigenous strategies and initiatives at 91µÎµÎ. It includes both the Indigenous Initiatives and First Peoples' House teams.

As the institutional steward of 91µÎµÎ’s vision for Indigeneity, the Office of Indigenous Initiatives plays a multi-layered role by working to embed Indigeneity in all facets of university life. It also works to strengthen awareness and alignment of various Indigenous initiatives across the university, support Indigenous student and faculty success, and support the implementation of 91µÎµÎ's 52 Calls to Action on Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Education.

If you are an Indigenous student, staff or faculty member seeking support, please reach out.

91µÎµÎ is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
