From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 91µÎµÎ students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Sonja Solomun

Sonja Solomun profile pictureSonja SolomunÌýis a Faculty Associate at the Max Bell School of Public Policy and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy at 91µÎµÎ. She is currently completing her PhD at 91µÎµÎ, where she works on platform governance, climate justice and the environmental implications of AI and platforms. She has published on these and other topics in the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology,ÌýFirst Monday, and others.

Sonja is a 2022-2024 Fellow at theÌýÌýin Washington, D.C and a Research Affiliate at theÌý. She is also presently a Research Scholar at theÌý, a member of theÌý, and a founding member of theÌý. In the past, she has been a research affiliate at the Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life (CITAP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), and has co-founded the Coalition for Critical Technology.
