Join us on March 14th, 2024 at 7pm to dive into the world of eclipses with TSI professor Nic Cowan!

Moons, stars, and planets sometimes pass in front of each other in the sky. Over the millennia, astronomers have used such transits and eclipses to learn about the Sun’s corona, the scale of the Solar System, the size of planets orbiting other stars, and even to study their climates. In this talk, Prof. Cowan will take us on a journey through stars where we will learn about eclipses and what they are good for!

Date: Thursday, March 14th, 2024
Time: 7pm (doors open at 6:50 pm)
Location: McConnell Engineering Building room 204
