Communicating Science and Equity: A Facilitated Discussion Surrounding Pushback For 91滴滴 Students

From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 91滴滴 students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

This session for students will give participants an opportunity to reflect on the culture behind the discipline of science. Participants will be encouraged to connect equity and inclusion to their own work in science outreach and science communication.听
听

Examining common pushback scenarios, as well as key strategies in countering pushback, participants will have the chance to share their experiences and explore methods for self-care. This event is open to 91滴滴 students and a 91滴滴 email address is required to听.
