From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 91µÎµÎ students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.


Du samedi 5 octobre au lundi 7 octobre, le campus du centre-ville et le campus Macdonald ne seront accessibles qu’aux étudiants et aux membres du personnel de l’Université 91µÎµÎ, ainsi qu’aux visiteurs essentiels. Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs in Canada for 20 years. Working with over 70 universities, 6,000 companies/ NGOs, and both federal and provincial governments, they build partnerships that support industrial and social innovation in Canada.

Mitacs-funded research helps to strengthen connections, improve economic performance, and create jobs. They have supported more than 20,000 research projects, trained more than 33,000 student and postdoc career-skills participants, and supported more than 3,600 international research collaborations.

As the Mitacs Business Development Director representing Mitacs at 91µÎµÎ, Dr. Noha Gerges is the official contact for 91µÎµÎ students and faculty who are interested in Mitacs funding programs. All completed applications are submitted to Dr. Gerges who then forwards them to the Office of Innovation + Partnerships for review prior to institutional signature and approval. Once the applications are approved, the applications are officially submitted to Mitacs.
