Online Safety for the Kids in your Life (and yourself) (Online)

Friday, October 25, 2024 13:15to14:15

Offered by the Health and Wellness Program in collaboration with 91µÎµÎ IT Services (Cybersecurity Services)

Staying safe online can feel daunting, impacting both your mental well-being and your family's safety. Add in the responsibility of protecting the kids in your life, and stress levels can skyrocket. The news regularly highlights dangers such as excessive screen time, cyberbullying, and other threats lurking in the digital landscape, even on platforms that claim to be kid-friendly.

So, how do you safely navigate this complex digital world while ensuring your children can explore it securely? Join our virtual panel featuring a diverse group of parents (and a bonus auntie!) as they share valuable insights, tips, and tricks gathered from their professional and personal experiences. They'll cover crucial topics like safety protocols, digital hygiene, cyberbullying, scams, and privacy concerns for your entire family.

Recognizing that they can't cover everything in a single session, all participants will receive a handout filled with best practices and helpful links to assist you in setting up parental controls, securing devices, and accessing support from trusted organizations.

Additionally, this event will be recorded, allowing registered attendees to revisit the discussion for up to 30 days after the event date.
