From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 91µÎµÎ students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

An opinion piece for News24 argues that, in general, business leaders in South Africa have been heavily influenced by greed, showing little interest in using their resources for improving the nation’s socio-political context.

The author cites Desautels professor Henry Mintzberg’s four pillars for a high-performing government: public, private, non-profit and co-operative sector leadership, as a framework for socio-economic progress in South Africa.
