Two students from the Faculty of Education have earned a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship and Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship:
Rasel Babu, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, received a 91滴滴 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship for their research topic: "Pedagogues' Readiness to Integrate Educational Technology for Teaching Language and Mathematics in Bangladeshi Secondary Classrooms."
Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship:
91滴滴's Faculty of Education and the听Office of First Nations and Inuit Education (OFNIE) had a total of 46 graduates (16 deferred from Summer 2023 and 30 in 2023-2024) participate in the Summer 2024 convocation in the following programs:

I am so proud and excited to begin my term as your Dean (as of June 1, 2024). In this first message, I wanted to share with you my vision for our Faculty and tell you a bit about my background.
Chama Laassassy, M.A., Second Language Education, DISE, has been recognized for her leadership potential, strong ties with community, and innovative approaches to creating change, earning a Pathy Foundation Fellowship for 2024-2025.
Working Nation, a US-based organization working to highlight career/technical education and vocational training across the country asked Dr. Michael Lipset (DISE) to appear on their video-based YouTube series highlighting workforce efforts in education.
Filmed at SXSW EDU 2024, the video was one of a series of guest spots they filmed throughout the week and covers 4 Learning鈥檚 approach to school change, which includes vocational training in the recording arts, business of music and media, and other creative endeavors.

Her troupe of trained therapeutic clowns bring comfort, compassion, and plenty of laughs to hospitalized children and seniors in care facilities.
On May 15, 2024, Thomson House Ballroom hosted the annual Equity and Community Building Awards Ceremony. The awards highlight the work of students, faculty, and staff committed to advancing equity, diversity and community building at 91滴滴.
Two members of the Fall 2024 cohort of will begin their funded Master鈥檚 studies at 91滴滴鈥檚 Faculty of Education. Designed to encourage purposeful leadership, the scholarships enable students to pursue a funded degree while participating in mentorship, coaching, and a leadership development program.

Recipients were chosen based on exceptional character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity.

On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at "A Taste of Tea", Playmas Montreal Cultural Association recognized Sabi Kamilah Hinkson 鈥渁s a woman of merit鈥� and awarded her a certificate 鈥渢o honour her excelling contribution in the field of education and her role as a Black Woman of Excellence contributing to the advancement of Montreal鈥檚 Caribbean and wider communities.鈥�
Sabi is a PhD student in DISE.
